ENG 225 emphasizes the principles and techniques used in technical communication, both written and oral. The course covers strategies for transmitting technical information in reader-friendly, well-written and -designed documents. Students will analyze rhetorical concepts as they apply to organizing and presenting technical information to specific audiences for specific purposes. The development of technical communication skills is promoted through the analysis of selected documents, by the discussion of the writing and editing process, and by the composition of solutions to practical problems. Students will conduct an intensive semester long research project and report findings both verbally and graphically.
