ED284: Foundations of Inclusion in Teaching

ED 284 surveys the field of special education; related philosophies, perspectives, and practices; and learners with disabilities within an inclusive framework. Students will learn about relevant laws and rights, the special education process, types of disabilities, and advocacy. Learning environments, partnerships, approaches, strategies, interventions, assessments, and services to support learners with disabilities will be covered. Students will examine various forms of media to understand the culture of disability and will also conduct research on inclusion and disability issues in education. Class Details
